DESCRIPTION – determination of NRAS status plays a role in determining the outcome of therapy in colorectal carcinoma. Absence of NRAS mutation within the tumor suggests that the patient may respond to the therapy but other mutation such as EGFR, KRAS etc. also needs to be checked prior to NRAS
