TURN AROUND TIME – 10 days

PATIENT PREPARATION –

COLLECT – non diluted bone marrow aspirate

SPECIMEN PREPARATION – buccal swab or 6-10 ml of peripheral blood in EDTA (lavender top) tube

STORAGE/TRANSPORT TEMPERATURE – ship in ambient/ cool packs condition

STABILITY – 4 degrees C for 72 hours

UNACCEPTABLE CONDITION – clotted specimens

SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS – patient and donor should be marked appropriately on the tubes and on TRF. History of both donor and recipient is mandatory
