DESCRIPTION – BCR-ABL mutations are caused by the break off of both genes and then changes their places with each other. ABL gene is present on chromosome number 9 and BCR gene is present on chromosome number 22
CLINICAL UTILITY – it helps in the diagnosis of chronic myelogenous leukemia (CML) or a type of acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL)
