Will Delhi Impose COVID Restrictions Amid Rising in Cases?

COVID-19 Cases in Delhi Schools: In the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic's fourth wave, schools and educational institutions have been instructed to step up efforts to keep Coronavirus infection away from campuses. Following the discovery of several COVID-19 positive cases among students and teachers at various schools throughout Delhi and the NCR, the Delhi Government, Noida, and Gurugram Administrations have issued strict Guidelines and Protocols for educational institutions. In addition, schools, colleges, and other educational institutions have been asked to strictly enforce all COVID-19 Guidelines and SOPs in order to ensure the safety of students on campus.

COVID-19 increases by 500% in a week

With doctors and health experts warning of an impending fourth wave of the pandemic, COVID-19 cases in Delhi increased by nearly 500% in a week. On Sunday, April 17th, the national capital saw 517 Covid cases, a 12% increase over the previous day. This brings the total COVID-19 active case count to 1518, the highest since March 3rd, 2022. While the total number of cases in the National Capital has increased, the positive rate has decreased from 5.33 percent to 4.21 percent.
